A 332,000 square foot Cardinal Health Office Warehouse used it. Magic Theater Movie House also has its uses. Buildings of primary and secondary schools were made of it. A 138,400 square foot beverage distribution center also used this material. What do these three highly functional structures have in common? Yes, they were all used as part of their prefabricated wall panels. For decades, having thermally efficient panels presented a huge challenge to engineers and builders alike. They have been looking for reinforcements that are not metal and can withstand the many cracks and abrasions that different climates bring. Reinforcement with carbon fiber sheet
seemed to be the best answer.

The composite was found to be non-conductive, so, when used as shear, it will provide an equal insulation profile. Having hot or cold spots in the wythe connections will no longer be a problem when using this material, as it connects the inner and outer wythe connections to create a 100% composite panel. To do this, carbon lattice, which is non-corrosive, is formed as a support and then poured into a panel. This produces a final system that is thermally efficient. In this way, less energy is needed to cool or heat the structure than with other conventional wall systems.

Another advantage of using this type of reinforcement in shear connectors is that the rows of the grid are placed continuously throughout the panel. This increases the tensile capacity of the structure and its resistance to cracking.

Because of the values that a structure gets in having the carbon fiber reinforcement wall panels, many structures have been modified, built, and constructed using this material. As mentioned above, the Cardinal Health office warehouse used this material in its wall panels of up to fifty-one feet in height. To provide a relatively good R-16, each panel has a four-inch exterior and interior panel that is evenly filled with four inches of foam insulation. In this way, the warehouse significantly reduces the effect of heat.

The construction of the Magic Theater with this composite reinforcement applied in the wall panels also makes the electricity bills lower, not to mention ensuring the best comfort the moviegoers can get. The panels can reach a height of 6 meters, achieving an overall insulation value of R-16.

Students will benefit the most in their schools while studying when their classrooms and school building are designed to have these composite reinforcements applied to the wall panels. The same reasoning applies.

As this application continues to grow faster and faster, we can be sure that carbon fiber reinforcement technology will create more waves in structures and structures in the future.
