Shravasti: This place is located near the West Rapti river, Uttar Pradesh. It is the place, where Buddha spent most of his time after getting enlightened. It is supposed to be the site of the Twin Miracle, where Buddha emitted flames from the upper part of his body and water from the lower one. There are different statues, stupas, and monasteries built here which are worth seeing.

Vaishali: This city is located in Bihar. It is the place where Buddha delivered his last sermon before he attained nirvana. It is also the first place, where he initiated the first woman disciple into his order. A grand stupa has been constructed at the place where he delivered his last sermon.
